Please note that we have made some changes to the minor to allow for more choices for electives.
Beginning immediately, EXED 200 is the only required course and is the prerequisite for all other courses within the minor.
EXED 303 (formerly EXED 440) has moved into the approved electives along with some new additional courses.
We have also added an Acquired Brain Injury course within the survey courses, of which 2 are required.

NOTE: EXED 416 and 417 only offered Fall, 1st block and 2nd block.
Autism Certificate courses are only appropriate for those who are not seeking licensure in a special education field.

If you are interested in this series and enroll in EXED 416. Overrides will be issued for you for 417 and 418 before the class starts.
You will receive an alert once these have been issued and you would enroll in the courses the same as you would for any other. DO NOT PLACE 417 or 418 IN YOUR CART UNTIL THE OVERRIDE HAS BEEN ISSUED.
Enrollment for 417 and 418 are set to 0. Once you go to enroll uncheck the box for showing only open classes which will allow you to see the course.
The overrides will hold a seat for you but you need to enroll as promptly as possible once your appointment for Enrollment starts.

From MyMadison:
1. Log into MyMadison, select Student Center.
2. Select Major/Minor Change from the “Other Academic…” dropdown menu.
a. To add a program of study select Add Major/Minor.
Search for"Exceptional Education" to locate the minor.
b. To drop a program of study select Drop Major/Minor.
c. To update a concentration for an existing program of study select
Add/Change Concentration.
After all requests are entered select Submit Request.
