There will be times from your sophomore year on when you might need to check out an assessment etc. from our Lending Library for class and this form has to be on file before you will be allowed to check out an item.

MAIN TASK - COMPLETE PRIOR TO REGISTRATION FOR THE FALL OF YOUR JUNIOR YEAR


These steps must be completed to become fully accepted into teacher education.  These are accomplished via the ESC -

  • Apply to teacher education
  • Declare Teaching Minor
  • Maintain a GPA of 2.5 or better
  • Complete 1st Aid / CPR / AED (previously Universal Precautions but changed 8/2017)
  • Complete Training in Child Abuse Prevention ("CAP")
  • Provide 2 references 
  • Answer Felony / Misdemeanor Conviction Involving Children / Drugs 
  • Pre-Professional Assessment
  • Complete WRIT 103 or equivalent ("C" or better)
  • Complete PSYC 160 ("C" or better)
  • Complete Math or equivalent ("C" or better)
  • Complete EDUC 300 ("C" or better)
  • ALEKS – score of 46 or higher OR one of the following substitute tests:
  •    Praxis Core Math 5733 (score of 150)
  •    ACT Math score of 22
  •    SAT Math score of 560 (if taken on or after 3/1/16) or 
    • SAT Math score of 530 (if taken(if taken between 4/1/95 – 2/29/16)
