Do you have questions about one of our programs you are enrolled in.
You can find the answers on this advising site including contact information, courses needed, teacher education requirements, graduation requirements and locations of where to obtain needed items like graduation gown, cap, etc.
We have tried to create a place where you can find anything you need without having to search all over JMU.
PROGRAM GOALS: What can students achieve by completing our licensure programs?
- First, we aim to enrich the student’s subject knowledge and give the student a thorough experience in research and special education.
- Second, all of our students acquire superior training and practicum experience in “real-life” classrooms.
This training is provided through specific coursework offered in the EFEX department, and the supervised practicums of the licensure programs.
Thus, students gain not only teaching experience, they also learn to be effective and compassionate teachers and communicators.
